The Maine Pops Concert Band is currently conducting a series of seasonal summer concerts for the start of its 2024-2025 performance year. Currently, the band has two remaining public summer concerts in mid-August.
Rehearsals for the 2024 fall season are tentatively slated to resume on Wednesday, September 4 at Scarborough High School. The band rehearses Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m., while school is in session. As always, there will be adjustments to the rehearsal schedule throughout the year as the local Scarborough schools conduct their own music and theater programs at the high school and middle school levels. The Maine Pops will take all steps necessary to coordinate alternate venues and inform the membership of rehearsal site changes in advance.
The Maine Pops Concert Band continues its recruitment of musicians in Maine and New Hampshire to join or rejoin the band. The band has over 100 musicians registered. No auditions are required, but the band is now concentrating on filling specific instrumental voids within sections. Musicians playing bassoon, clarinet, French horn, oboe, percussion and trombone are needed.

August 14 - Maine Pops Concert Band Cape Elizabeth Village Green Concert, Cape Elizabeth, ME, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
August 16 - Maine Pops Concert Band Performance, Bath Library Gazebo Park, Bath, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
