No audition? No problem!
Whether you've been playing for years, just graduated, or recently dusted off the instrument that's been sitting in your closet, we'd love to hear from you.
Maine Pops is a welcoming community of musicians from across southern Maine and New Hampshire who come together to make great music and build lasting friendships. We welcome players of all backgrounds and experience levels.
While we don't require auditions, membership is based on the band's current instrumentation needs. Some sections may have limited openings, but we encourage interested musicians to reach out. We're always happy to talk with prospective members.

Rehearsals
We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:00–9:00 p.m. in the Scarborough High School Band Room during the school year.

Who Joins Maine Pops?
Our members come from all walks of life.
Some have just finished high school or college and want to keep making music. Others are returning to an instrument after years away. Many already perform with other ensembles and are looking for another opportunity to play.
No matter where you are in your musical journey, if you're enthusiastic about making music with a great group of people, we'd love to meet you.
