The Harbor Brass Quintet - one of 10 Maine Pops Concert Band small ensembles - will conclude its four-appearance series of mini-concerts at Portland International Jetport on Saturday, August 22, from 11 a.m. until noon. The quintet will again be located at the base of the arrival hall escalators leading to baggage claim, greeting arriving passengers and waiting friends and family to a variety of musical selections specifically written for brass quintet.
The quintet consists of two trumpets (Nate Caron and Larry Langmore), one trombone (Jim McDonough), one French horn (Alison McCarty), and one tuba (Tom Mackie). The ensemble has had a busy summer performing in church services, seafood restaurants, the Yarmouth Clam Festival and Portland-area retirement communities.
